Amazon Prime Video has thrown a curveball into its slate for Jack Reacher, dramatically shifting the order in which viewers will get access to the highly anticipated stories.
Previously, fans were slated to dive into the spin-off series Neagley first, expected sometime this summer, followed later by the fourth season of Reacher. However, the streaming giant has just unveiled a new release strategy, prioritizing the main event for immediate viewing.
The focus is now squarely on the action-packed continuation of the original series. The fourth season of Reacher will premiere first, kicking off with the first three episodes released on August 12th. Following this initial drop, the remaining five episodes will be rolled out weekly until September 16th.
But the saga doesn’t end there. Following the massive arrival of Reacher’s next chapter, Amazon is setting up a major binge event for the related story. On the same date, September 16th, the eight-episode season of Neagley will premiere simultaneously, allowing viewers to catch up with this sprawling narrative in one go.
The new season of Reacher dives deep into Lee Child’s 13th book from the series Gone Tomorrow.
