A powerful new historical drama is set to captivate audiences, following the premiere of the trailer for “The Weight,” a gritty story featuring the formidable pairing of Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe.
Set against the stark backdrop of 1933 Oregon, the film plunges viewers into a brutal narrative centered on Samuel Murphy, played by Hawke. Murphy’s life is shattered when he is torn away from his daughter and sent to a harsh work camp, forcing him into an impossible situation.
His only perceived avenue for rescue lies in a dangerous bargain with Warden Clancy, portrayed by Crowe.
