For some, the magic of a story isn’t just in the screen—it’s in the world you can step into. British actor Aaron Pierre recently shared how stepping onto the set of Star Wars: Starfighter transported him back to a time of pure, unadulterated wonder.

Pierre’s enthusiasm for the vastness of the Star Wars universe is deeply personal. He fondly recalled his first cinematic exposure to the saga when he was just five years old, watching films like The Phantom Menace with a family friend. He vividly remembered even the small details, such as the bus they took home from West Croydon, underscoring how profoundly those early experiences rooted themselves in his memory.

That initial feeling of being “totally blown away” by the enormity of the Star Wars universe, Pierre noted, was not limited to the screen. When he experienced the production, he felt that same sense of awe amplified tenfold.

Walking onto the physical set for Star Wars: Starfighter was an experience of true immersion. Pierre described a world built not just for viewing, but for living. “Whole worlds are literally built for you to walk through, touch, go inside and climb,” he enthused. He added that the environmental details were so real that the tactile experience was palpable: “The music that gets played before a scene commences, it feels like you’re on stage. Like, the mud is real!”

This feeling of being transported by the production design is not new for Pierre; he has expressed similar amazement during previous engagements with the franchise. He remains utterly thrilled by the craft and the vision behind these epic creations.

The production of Star Wars: Starfighter is set to feature a stellar cast, including Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth, Amy Adams, and Matt Smith. The project, directed by Shawn Levy, has successfully wrapped production, setting the stage for an exciting cinematic release.

Star Wars: Starfighter is scheduled to hit theaters on May 27, 2027, promising audiences another journey into the galaxy of adventure and spectacle.
