The espionage world is bracing for a return to the delightfully dysfunctional world of Slow Horses, as Apple TV+ prepares to bring the critically acclaimed spy thriller back for Season 6. Get ready for more high-stakes chaos, where a group of disgraced MI5 agents are once again thrown into the fiery crucible of revenge and retaliation.

The drama will once again focus on Slough House, the grim headquarters where Jackson Lamb and his misfit team operate. This season promises to deepen the already compelling narrative as the agents navigate another dangerous mission, finding themselves entangled in a deadly game orchestrated by Diana Taverner.

The official logline sums up the impending mayhem perfectly: “Season 6 sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”

The series is set to return to the screens with six weekly episodes. Viewers can expect the season premiere on September 16, 2026, followed by new episodes every Wednesday, culminating in the finale on October 21.

The cast remains a star-studded ensemble. Gary Oldman returns in his iconic role as the abrasive yet brilliant Jackson Lamb, joined by the familiar faces of Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Christopher Chung, and Joanna Scanlan. Adding another layer of intrigue to the Slough House drama is the welcome addition of BAFTA winner Lenny Rush, whose role remains to be seen.

Created by Mick Herron, Slow Horses follows a crew of MI5 agents relegated to Slough House after career missteps. Despite their lowly status, these agents are repeatedly pulled into major intelligence operations, always under the watchful, if exasperated, eye of Jackson Lamb.

The ongoing success of the series has proven its appeal, leading Apple TV+ to renew the franchise for Season 7, which has reportedly completed production. While the premiere date for the seventh season is yet to be announced, reports suggest that the creative momentum continues, with developments hinting at Season 8 in the works.
