Arnold Schwarzenegger’s incredible look in The Man with the Bag teaser
The Man with the Bag: Santa’s Got a Heist
When you think of Santa Claus, you might imagine cozy sleigh rides and cheerful gifts. But what if the holiday season brought an action twist? Now, the festive film genre is getting a dose of high-octane comedy with The Man With the Bag, a new adventure starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in a surprisingly lighthearted role.
Following successful action-holiday films, the audience was ready for Santa movies with a kick. This new installment delivers exactly that, blending the magic of Christmas with a criminal caper. The plot throws a hilarious curveball: Santa’s iconic red bag goes missing, and he must team up with a former thief to recover it.
The premise is simple but exciting. Santa isn’t alone in his mission; he needs a crew of criminally skilled misfits, aided by elves and reindeer, to pull off the most unexpected heist in holiday history. It’s a mash-up of holiday cheer and high-stakes larceny, guaranteed to keep the festive spirit high while keeping things unpredictable.
The film brings a fantastic ensemble cast to the sleigh. Alongside Schwarzenegger, Alan Ritchson steps into the role of the hired thief, and they are joined by a stellar group including Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski, Ken Jeong, and Awkwafina, adding layers of comedic genius to the adventure.
Behind the scenes, the creative team is bringing a unique blend of talent to the project. Adam Shankman, known for directing some of the most heartwarming and entertaining films, sits in the director’s seat, while Allan Rice penned the script. This collaboration promises a story that is both high-energy and warmly comedic.
The buzz around the film has been immediate. The first trailer released by Amazon MGM Studios immediately caught attention, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger looking perhaps more cheerful than ever, sporting a smile that radiates holiday joy. The trailer even included a nostalgic narrator, setting a wonderfully amusing tone right from the start.
The anticipation only grew as fans saw the ensemble in action. The trailer showcased the fun dynamic between the leads, hinting at a film that is as entertaining as it is festive. It’s clear that The Man With the Bag is set to be more than just a holiday movie—it’s a celebration of teamwork, mischief, and the sheer joy of getting those presents.
The Man With the Bag is set to arrive on Prime Video on December 2.
