Avengers Doomsday reveals buckets dolls and epic loot
The excitement surrounding Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” is already spilling into the online collector markets, as tie-in merchandise drops this week, offering fans multiple ways to celebrate the Dark Avenger.
The focus of the collectible wave is squarely on the iconic villain, Victor von Doom. Rather than offering a single version, the merchandise is delivering a trio of distinct looks for the monarch of Latveria, allowing fans to choose their preferred interpretation.
One of the initial reveals came from Hot Toys, who introduced the ‘Victor Von Doom’ variant, presenting a more rudimentary, cloth-based version of the armor. This offers a softer, more accessible take on the iconic costume for the discerning collector.
Meanwhile, Pop Mart joined the fray by unveiling the ‘Lord Doom’ figure. This version leans heavily into Doom’s political power, featuring a smoother metal mask and an outfit that strongly evokes a military regime dictator, perfectly capturing his role as the ruler of Latveria.
Beyond the figures, Marvel has provided other thematic accessories. Tie-in popcorn buckets and drink containers, both dripping with Doctor Doom flair, are also available, ensuring that the aesthetic extends throughout the fan experience.
The promotion also included a cinematic touch, with Marvel releasing a 10-hour ambience video. This piece features an illustrated depiction of the final moments of “Loki,” showing the character seated on a throne holding the timelines while the “Purpose Is Glorious” track from the show’s soundtrack loops continuously.
This merchandise rollout coincides with the massive success of the preceding cinematic event. “Avengers: Endgame” recently became the most successful film of all time worldwide, netting an incredible $2.925 billion thanks to the massive appeal of its “Encore” re-release.
With these tantalizing collectibles and cinematic assets in place, anticipation is building for the main event. “Avengers: Doomsday” is set to open in cinemas on December 18th.
