In animation and family entertainment, Paramount Pictures is gearing up for some supernatural fun. They have set an October 13th, 2028 release date for helmer Dan Trachtenberg’s animated feature, Freddy the 13th, following a tale where a family vacation takes a decidedly spooky turn when Uncle Freddy accidentally acquires the powers of the Boogeyman.
The independent film scene is also buzzing with new dates. Inaugural Entertainment has settled on a September 11th release for writer-director Guy Moshe’s The Fix, which follows a group of former CIA operators attempting a daring rescue in the Iranian capital to redeem themselves after a difficult mission in Afghanistan. Adding to this independent wave, A24 has secured a December 11th release date for Jesse Eisenberg’s community theater-themed film, The Debut, starring Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti.
Finally, the cinematic titans of the franchise are making an appearance. All five films in The Hunger Games franchise will be available for one-night-only screenings running from September 3rd to 7th, offering fans a chance to relive the action in a condensed format.
