Bill Murray Golf Road Trip Trailer A Course Called Ireland
Get ready to trade your fairway for the scenic route, because a brand new documentary series is hitting the screens, promising a hilarious and unpredictable love letter to the game of golf.
Paramount+ and the BBC have officially unveiled the trailer for A Course Called Ireland, a vibrant journey that takes viewers on a delightful road trip across the beautiful island of Ireland, exploring its stunning landscapes and its many legendary golf courses.
This isn’t just another golf documentary; it’s a warm, witty adventure woven with the wit, warmth, and undeniable wonder of the Emerald Isle. The series promises candid, unscripted moments, offering audiences a unique glimpse into the lives of Bill Murray, his family, his friends, and his deep affection for Ireland.
At the heart of the series is the unforgettable presence of Bill Murray. He serves as the creative North Star, guiding the journey as the cast navigates the unexpected turns of travel and golf. This journey is inspired by the book A Course Called Ireland: A Long Walk in Search of a Country, a Pint, and the Next Tee, penned by Tom Coyne, who also joins the adventure as Bill’s companion on this epic quest.
The premise is wonderfully simple: two friends embarking on a trip of a lifetime, inviting everyone along for the ride. The series successfully blends the high-stakes world of golf with the relaxed, often chaotic joy of travel and genuine human connection.
Produced and commissioned by the BBC in the UK, A Course Called Ireland is set to debut on Paramount+ in the US this fall, making this unique blend of travel, humor, and golf accessible to everyone. It’s made for golf lovers, but equally, it’s made for anyone who loves Bill Murray and a grand adventure.
