Bollywoof Animated Adventure Doggie in India Full Trailer
Get ready to leash up for an international adventure! Sky TV and Vue have just unveiled the official trailer for Bollywoof, an animated adventure comedy that promises to be as heartwarming as it is hilarious.
This is the story of Basil, a very distinguished British Springer Spaniel doggo who finds himself stranded thousands of miles from home in the vibrant landscape of India. Faced with the daunting task of finding his way back to his family, Basil embarks on an epic journey filled with unforgettable friendships and wild escapades.
Bollywoof is more than just a travelogue; it’s a celebration of connection, the enduring power of friendship, and the incredible vitality of India. It’s a funny, heart-warming animated tale designed to delight and connect with families of all ages.
The adventure itself is packed with high-octane fun. Basil navigates the journey by paw, plane, and rickshaw, occasionally punctuated by spontaneous Bollywood dance routines. It’s a visual feast, blending global locations with a truly unique, animated sensibility.
The film boasts an incredible voice cast ready to bring the adventure to life. David Jonsson voices Basil in English, joined by a stellar ensemble including Kunal Nayyar, Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, Ambika Mod, Sanjeev Bhaskar, and Rhys Ifans.
Visually, Bollywoof borrows its sketch-like, dynamic style from celebrated animated features such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, giving the adventure a fresh, visually exciting edge.
Mark your calendars: Bollywoof is set to debut in the UK in January 2027. While UK audiences can start planning their viewing, the final US release date remains to be determined.
