Christopher Landon Takes the Helm for Cult Horror Feature

The world of horror is buzzing with exciting developments as director Christopher Landon has been tapped to write and direct the upcoming feature film, The Final Girl Support Group. The story behind the film has roots in television, having been initially developed as an HBO Max series. Early involvement included producers Andy and Barbara Muschietti, who were keen on developing the concept, alongside Charlize Theron, who was attached to the project through her Denver and Delilah Films banner.

While Theron is no longer attached, the core creative team remains dedicated to the project. The Muschiettis are stepping back into production under their Double Dream label, partnering with Adam Goldworm for Aperture Entertainment. Adding depth to the cinematic vision, author Grady Hendrix will serve as an executive producer, ensuring the novel’s spirit shines through in the final cut.
