Cinderella Steps Spin Full Trailer
Get ready for a fairy tale reboot that flips the script on tradition. Netflix has just unleashed the full-length trailer for Steps, a vibrant and imaginative animated feature that takes the familiar world of Cinderella and gives it a wonderfully unexpected new twist.
This isn’t your grandmother’s story. The creative spark behind the film came from the duo of Garfunkel and Oates, Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci, who reimagined the classic narrative by shifting the focus to Cinderella’s misunderstood stepsister, Lilith. Instead of focusing solely on the heroine, the film dives into the complexities of family dynamics and the power of empathy.
In this enchanting new adventure, the stakes are high. When Lilith accidentally transforms her stepsister, Margot, into a frog, the kingdom descends into chaos, ruled by a surprisingly mean girl. To save their realm, Lilith must team up with a troll in a grand quest, proving that even the most perceived villains deserve a happily ever after.
The cast is stacked with incredible talent, promising a truly memorable animated experience. Ali Wong stars as the spirited Lilith, while Amanda Seyfried steps into the role of Cinderella. The supporting cast includes Stephanie Hsu as Margot, Bette Midler as the magical Fairy Godmother, Nikki Glaser as Priscilla, Young Mazino as Gef, alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Daniel Radcliffe, LaNisa Renee Frederick, Jordyn Weitz, and Peter Dinklage.
The visual spectacle is backed by a stellar production team. The film is directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, with production helmed by Amy Poehler, Jane Hartwell, and Kim Lessing. The animation itself was brought to life by the in-house teams at Netflix Animation Studios across Los Angeles, Sydney, and Vancouver.
Adding to the magic, the film will feature a score by the acclaimed Kris Bowers. Fans can anticipate an immersive musical experience that perfectly complements the animated storytelling.
Steps is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on November 20th, offering viewers a fresh, witty, and unforgettable spin on the beloved fairy tale. Prepare to meet a new definition of a happily ever after.
