Courteney Cox aims to direct Scream 8

I mean, and the creator, and Wes Craven, and the writers, and everybody who’s been in it. But I think it’d be great and fun and a good publicity thing. Get on it.”

May has hinted at exploring themes of grief and personal growth for Tatum as she navigates the consequences of surviving a nightmare.
May suggests that Tatum’s evolution will involve grappling with a “generational curse.” She envisions Tatum discovering her own resolve and armor as she moves beyond the trauma of her mother’s experience, forcing her to grieve and question everyone around her.
