Kino Lorber has announced the Blu-ray release of this cult classic, bringing all seven episodes of the 1981–1982 series to disc for the very first time. But this isn’t just a simple repackaging; it’s a meticulously restored journey back to a golden age of genre storytelling.
Inspired by legendary anthologies like The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery$, Darkroom offered standalone tales of mystery, suspense, and horror that continue to hold a special place for genre aficionados.
The series was famously anchored by screen legend James Coburn$, who set the tone for every unsettling story with an ominous warning: “You feel something beckoning you, drawing you into the terror that awaits you in the Darkroom.”
Now, more than four decades later, this buried treasure is resurfacing in stunning visual quality. Kino Lorber’s new special-edition Blu-ray boasts a remarkable 4K restoration from the original camera negative for every episode.
