DC shows off new HBO trailer at Comic-Con

The DC Universe is always looking for its next big splash, and after the recent box office challenges facing properties like Supergirl, the attention is turning to a fresh take on the Green Lantern mythos: Lanterns. This upcoming HBO series promises to deliver not just cosmic spectacle, but a deep dive into mystery, following the dynamic duo of Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they navigate a gripping investigation in the American heartland.

The premise sets the stage for a compelling narrative, blending the familiar world of Green Lanterns with the taut atmosphere of a classic True Detective-style mystery. The series delves into an investigation of a murder, grounding the fantastical elements of the Corps within a gritty, real-world setting.
