Kinney herself admitted that while she was excited by the opportunity, she never expected to return to the franchise. The Walking Dead had concluded, and she was genuinely surprised by the invitation to step back into the world of the apocalypse.
The return also provided a wonderful opportunity for Kinney to reunite with co-star Lauren Cohan. Their chemistry, which was already palpable when they worked together on the main series, was immediately evident again in this new venture. “There is something with me and Lauren where it has always kind of felt like sisters,” Kinney shared. “Our scenes always feel really like she’s such a good listener and just such a good scene partner.”

Kinney has also released a new song, “Hold On,” which is the first single from her upcoming I Cried When You Died EP. This release further solidifies Beth’s artistic journey, showcasing her voice and spirit beyond the pressures of the apocalypse.
