This new animated venture steps entirely away from the video game world, crafting a completely original narrative universe. Under the direction of Takayuki Sano, the hand-drawn animations are brought to life by the renowned studio E&H Production, known for masterpieces like NINJA KAMUI and Bullet/Bullet.
Death Stranding Isolations takes place in North America immediately following Sam, the game’s protagonist, reconnects the continent through the mysterious Chiral Network. But as America is reborn from the ashes of this digital reunion, the renewed connections bring about a host of new and unforeseen consequences that reshape the landscape for everyone involved.
The story delves into a tumultuous new landscape, introducing characters on divergent paths. Among them are a wise old man who connects people by means that defy reckoning, a female soldier ensnared in a cycle of war and destruction, a young man seething with rage at the absurdity of his life, and a girl who chose to sever all ties with the outside world. Fate, however, has other plans, launching her headfirst into a world she never knew existed.
