“Jennifer is a sympathetic character for me, both before and after the transformation,” Cody explained. “She is incredibly isolated, lonely, and insecure. People remember the moments when she is perceived as a god or at her most powerful, but they often forget the reality of her internal struggle—the moments when she felt like a shell, almost exsanguinated.”
Cody believes the sequel offers the perfect opportunity to explore this hidden emotional depth more fully, suggesting that the film can uncover the poignancy and isolation that audiences might not have fully recognized before.
