Full Trailer: Animated Cinderella Sisters Movie on Netflix
Get ready to rethink everything you thought you knew about fairy tales. Netflix Animation Studios has dropped the official main trailer for their latest animated adventure, Steps, a fresh, high-stakes reimagining of the classic Cinderella story, and it promises to be a wild ride.
Forget the traditional tale; this film flips the script by centering the narrative on Cinderella’s stepsisters. The story dives into the magical mischief that ensues at the Royal Ball, where chaos reigns and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance. It’s an unexpected twist on familiar tropes, proving that sometimes the villains deserve a happily ever after too.
The premise is pure, playful mayhem: a step-sister named Lilith causes utter pandemonium by turning another step-sister into a frog, plunging the kingdom into turmoil. Now, the quest isn’t just about finding a prince; it’s about an unlikely alliance. Cinderella must team up with her stepsisters to overcome the magical mess and save their kingdom from the fallout of the prank.
The cast assembled for this colorful spectacle is packed with talent. The roles are brought to life by a stellar ensemble including Ali Wong as the mischievous Lilith, Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella, and Stephanie Hsu as Margot. Supporting the core cast are established stars like Daniel Radcliffe as The Prince, Bette Midler as The Fairy Godmother, Nikki Glaser as the villainous Priscilla, and the iconic Peter Dinklage. The voice cast is further enriched by Young Mazino, Luis “Damian Priest” Martínez, and Bette Midler.
The magic isn’t just in the story; it’s in the soundtrack. The film features a score by Kris Bowers, an acclaimed composer known for his work on films like The Wild Robot, promising an emotional and sweeping musical experience.
If you’re looking for something emotionally resonant and visually stunning, Steps delivers. It’s a fun, vibrant remix of a beloved classic, perfect for animated storytelling that tackles complex themes with humor and high adventure. It arrives on Netflix just in time for the holiday season, offering a fresh perspective on what it means to find your happily ever after.
