Full Trailer: The Good Daughter with Rose Byrne & Meghann Fahy
A new wave of psychological suspense is hitting streaming platforms, heralded by the debut of The Good Daughter, a gripping new thriller series landing on Peacock this November. Crafted and written by the acclaimed author Karin Slaughter, the series draws its power from her novel, which is described as a Chilling Psychological Horror Novel of Family Bonds and Haunting Memories.
The story plunges viewers into the fractured lives of two sisters, Charlotte and Samantha Quinn, who have spent two decades struggling to reconstruct lives violently splintered by tragedy. But when another attack rips through the small town of Pikeville, the buried secrets of their past are forced to the surface.
The narrative pivots when Charlotte, now a successful lawyer, steps into the spotlight as a key witness on the scene. As the investigation unravels, pushing painful memories and deeply buried family secrets into sharp focus, the story transforms from a tale of survival into an intense exploration of enduring ties and complex, often painful, bonds.
The tension palpable in the official trailer hints at something far darker lurking beneath the surface of Pikeville, suggesting that the shadows of the small town hold secrets even more sinister than the violence itself. This dual storyline is designed to be unnerving, promising a deep dive into the psychological toll of trauma and fractured relationships.
The compelling nature of the story is amplified by the powerhouse cast assembled for the series. Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy bring depth and vulnerability to the roles of Samantha and Charlotte, grounding the emotional complexity of the narrative. They are joined by a talented ensemble, including Brendan Gleeson, Harper Steele, Paula Malcomson, Jake McDorman, Olivia Williams, and Michael Dorman, ensuring that every character carries the weight of the unfolding drama.
Prepare for a journey into the depths of family history where the past is not just remembered, but painfully confronted. The Good Daughter promises a thrilling, emotionally charged experience that will keep viewers guessing until the very last moment about what truly lies in the shadows of Pikeville.
