Full Yaga Series Trailer
A new wave of supernatural mystery is setting sail, following the premiere of the full-length trailer for Yaga, a gripping Canadian television series developed by Kat Sandler and adapted from her acclaimed 2019 play.
The story unfolds in a secluded coastal setting, where the mundane meets the mystical. At the heart of the narrative is Rapp (Noah Reid), a private detective thrown into a complex investigation concerning the disappearance of Henry Park (Hudson Williams), the wealthy heir to a commercial fishery.
The investigation quickly spirals into deeper, more complicated waters when Rapp must navigate a web of enigmatic suspects and the presence of ancient magic. His journey is further complicated by his interactions with Carson (Clark Backo), a local detective, and Katherine (Carrie-Ann Moss), a university professor whose tastes lead her down unexpected paths.
The series promises a rich tapestry of characters, featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, Hiro Kanagawa, Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, and Anisa Harris.
The production itself was a cinematic undertaking, directed by David Frazee and Rachel Talalay, with filming taking place earlier this year in the scenic landscapes of Victoria, British Columbia.
With such compelling storytelling, Yaga is poised for a global audience. The series has secured exciting international distribution deals, heading to Sky in the United Kingdom and Ireland, HBO Max across Europe, AMC+ in the United States, Foxtel in Australia, and Sky New Zealand in New Zealand.
The full trailer, which first appeared on Dark Horizons, has successfully teased the dark undertones and compelling relationships that promise to make this coastal mystery a must-watch for fans of supernatural crime dramas.
