God Save Birmingham Playtest Trailer Kicks Off November 2

God Save Birmingham heads into Beta 2: Survive the Medieval Mayhem in November

Prepare to brace yourselves, survivors. The physics-driven zombie survival simulator God Save Birmingham is gearing up for its next major public playtest, promising even more chaos and immersive medieval survival this autumn. Publisher Kakao Games and developer Ocean Drive Studio have announced that Beta 2 will kick off on November 2 and run until November 9, offering players a fresh chance to test their mettle against the undead horde.

This new phase follows months of closed testing, and it’s time for the wider community to dive into the action. Beta 2 gives players the opportunity to attempt to survive the harsh environment of 14th-century Birmingham alongside friends in a co-op alpha build. Forget passive waiting; now is the time to test your wits in a world where every choice could mean life or death.

The game places you in the role of a lone survivor besieged by an undead plague that has overrun the medieval market town. Your mission is clear: forage for supplies, meticulously craft tools and weapons, hunt for sustenance, and secure shelter, all while the encroaching horde creeps closer.

To enhance the survival experience, developers have introduced significant quality-of-life upgrades. Players will now benefit from a new save feature, providing essential security while fending off the zombies. Furthermore, the crafting system has received general enhancements, offering more ways to cook, additional items to craft, and a wider arsenal of weapons to wield.

Ocean Drive Studio listened intently to player feedback, implementing numerous tweaks to make the environment more dynamic and challenging. Zombie behavior is no longer static; aggression and general behavior are now varied depending on the type of zombie encountered. Players can also adapt to the environment by utilizing clothing, which provides different levels of warmth based on the material, adding a crucial layer of survival complexity.

The physical environment itself has also been overhauled, allowing players more control over their shelter. New options for doors and windows can now be barricaded or latched, giving you tactical advantages in defending your home against the relentless undead.

As the beta period approaches, players can jump into the fray by heading to the Steam page for God Save Birmingham next Monday. Simply click the “Request Access” button to gain instant entry and experience the thrilling, zombie-filled atmosphere of Middle Ages England.
