Impractical Jokers brings giant spider horror movie to Blu-ray in December

When a man known for comedic chaos steps into the world of prehistoric horror, you know it’s going to be delightfully bizarre. James “Murr” Murray, the creative force behind the Impractical Jokers television franchise, is channeling his unique blend of humor and suspense for his next venture: the giant spider-themed creature feature, Don’t Move.

This feature film adapts the story of a church group’s annual retreat, turning a seemingly innocent camping trip deep in the Ozark wilderness into a desperate fight for survival against a terrifying, massive arachnid. Based on the bestselling novel Murray co-wrote with Darren Wearmouth, the movie expertly mixes creature feature scares with genuine comedy.

The film finds its vision in the lush, yet deadly, landscape of the Ozarks. As the group wanders into the forest, they soon discover that the real threat isn’t a simple wild animal, but a colossal spider hunting them using subtle vibrations, forcing the campers to band together for the ultimate survival challenge.

The filmmaking vision behind Don’t Move was spearheaded by director Maclain Nelson, who brought Murray’s novel to life. Nelson saw the potential to blend monster movie thrills with a compelling story about a community forced to cooperate against an overwhelming foe. This approach paid homage to classic creature features, drawing a clear line back to the beloved 1990 film Tremors 1990.

The aesthetic of the film reflects this nostalgic influence. Cinematographer Kristoffer Carrillo noted that the visual style of Don’t Move is a vibrant throwback to the horror comedies and creature features of the 1990s, adding a wonderfully retro touch to the modern horror landscape.

The ensemble cast brings a fun mix of recognizable faces to the perilous adventure. Alongside Murray and Wearmouth, the movie features Lyndsy Fonseca, rapper Russ Vitale, Hunter King, Joseph Lee Anderson, Tom Cavanagh, and Rob Riggle, all tackling the challenge of surviving the monstrous encounter.

Don’t Move is set to arrive for audiences on Blu-ray and DVD on December 15, 2026, released by Well Go USA Entertainment. While the physical media will be available then, the film is also available on digital platforms now.

With a runtime of approximately 94 minutes, the film is rated R for bloody images, some violent content, and language. It offers fans of Impractical Jokers a fresh, hilarious, and genuinely spooky adventure, while delivering a quintessential creature feature experience for horror enthusiasts.
