Jenna Ortega’s final words as Wednesday Season 3 wraps
Jenna Ortega is officially putting the final nail in the coffin for production on Wednesday Season 3, and the wrap celebration came with a perfect dose of macabre elegance: a striking photograph of Ortega clacking away on a vintage 1934 Juwel Model 3 portable mechanical typewriter.
The buzz surrounding the series has been nothing short of electrifying. The sophomore run of the show proved that the strange and morbid world of Nevermore has massive appeal, with the first four episodes alone racking up a staggering 50 million views in their opening five days. This explosive start solidified Wednesday’s status as Netflix’s most-watched English-language series of all time.
As production winds down, the focus shifts from the mystery of Nevermore to the expansion of the Addams family itself. Season 3 promises to dive deeper into the eccentricities of the family tree, bringing some seriously compelling new faces into the shadows of the school.
The family dynamic is set to get even more complicated with the arrival of Eva Green as Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s unhinged sister and Wednesday’s newly arrived aunt. This addition promises rich new storylines, setting the stage for fascinating reunions and new conflicts.
Beyond expanding the immediate family, the third chapter opens its doors to an impressive array of series newcomers. Fans can anticipate seeing Lena Headey, James Lance, Oscar Morgan, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, and Kennedy Moyer stepping into Nevermore’s complex shadows, ready to contribute to the unfolding chaos.
While guard-rail plot details remain closely guarded, the cliffhangers from the previous season already fuel the imagination. The audience is left wondering what thrilling adventures await Wednesday next. Season 2 ended with Wednesday reluctantly teaming up with her chaotic Uncle Fester on a desperate rescue mission.
That mission took an unexpected turn when Enid, driven by her inner beast, transformed into a full alpha werewolf and fled into the wild northern wilderness toward the Canadian border. Now, with camera operations wrapped and post-production underway, the countdown begins for Wednesday’s next morbid adventure in the wild.
