Prepare for a journey that sparkles with ghosts, regret, and redemption. Paramount Pictures has just dropped the full trailer for Ebenezer, a fresh, compelling reimagining of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol.

At the heart of this spectral adventure is Johnny Depp, who steps into the iconic role of the notoriously miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. This isn’t just a retelling; it’s a thrilling ghost story set against the backdrop of Dickensian London, promising one man’s supernatural odyssey to confront his past, navigate his present, and ultimately fight for a second chance at life.

The magic of the film is amplified by an unforgettable ensemble cast of theatrical talent. Depp is joined by Ian McKellen as the haunting figure of Jacob Marley, while the ghostly companions are brought to life by Andrea Riseborough, who plays the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Tramell Tillman, who embodies the Ghost of Christmas Present. Completing the ghostly procession is Daisy Ridley, portraying the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

The supporting cast is equally stellar, adding depth and humor to the narrative. Rupert Grint steps in as the jovial Bob Cratchit, and Sam Claflin plays Fred, rounding out the human element. The film also features Charlie Murphy and Ellie Bamber as the lively Fezziwigs, alongside Nicholas Day as a Minister and Arthur Conti as a young Ebenezer, bringing the entire Dickensian world vividly to life.

This ambitious project is anchored by a strong script by Nathaniel Halpern and is being produced by Emma Watts. For Depp, this marks a significant milestone, as it represents his first major studio lead since 2018.

The production process brought these historic settings to life through filming conducted in Dublin and London earlier this year. Fans can look forward to the full cinematic experience of Ebenezer, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 13th, 2026.
