Lulu Wilson picks her favorite kill from the Becky franchise
From childhood hauntings to historical revenge, actress Lulu Wilson has cemented her place in the horror landscape. Starting her journey at age eleven in films like Ouija: Origin of Evil and appearing in classics such as Annabelle: Creation and The Haunting of Hill House, Wilson has built a formidable reputation for bringing genuine intensity to screen.
But the true explosion of her horror career came when she dove into the world of the Becky franchise in 2020. This series gave Wilson a unique platform to explore themes of vengeance and supernatural grit. The story follows a young girl who seeks retribution against the Nazis responsible for her father’s death, setting up an enthralling narrative that has expanded across multiple installments.
This acclaimed franchise allowed Wilson to delve into visceral storytelling, and recently, she brought that intensity to the latest entry, The Last Temptation of Becky. The current film is currently making waves at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
Beyond the screen, Wilson and director Jenn Wexler shared some delightfully gruesome insights during the film’s premiere. They discussed the process of creating the film’s intense atmosphere, particularly focusing on the use of fake blood. As a result of shooting scenes that involved quite a bit of gore, Wilson shared how her relationship with fake blood has evolved over the years—a journey that, she admitted, was certainly an experience, though perhaps not for multiple days plus night shoots!
During the conversation, Wilson also revealed her personal favorite kill from the entire Becky saga. What made the discussion particularly engaging was discovering that this favorite choice turned out to be a shared highlight for director Wexler as well.
The plot of The Last Temptation of Becky places our protagonist in a high-stakes scenario. Becky, now operating as a CIA field agent, must go undercover in Poland to infiltrate a family running an inn located within one of Hitler’s WWII bunkers, known as The Wolf’s Lair. When she uncovers that the father, Wilhelm Reuss, is plotting to ignite the Fourth Reich, Becky is forced to take action and stop his destructive ambitions.
