Marvel’s Most-Watched Show Renewed by Disney+

The multiverse is buzzing, and when it comes to family-friendly superhero adventures, the excitement is palpable. Disney+ has just announced a major continuation for one of its most beloved series, greenlighting a new season for Spidey and His Amazing Friends.

This renewal follows a massive success, with the series accumulating nearly 1.3 billion hours of streaming time on the platform. The decision ensures that the adventures of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales—who constantly prove that teamwork is the ultimate superpower—will continue to captivate audiences.

The announcement was made during the D23 Expo, highlighting the show’s enduring appeal. As viewers enjoyed the current season, which started strong, the development signals a commitment to keeping these young heroes at the forefront of the Disney+ universe.

The journey for the show is set to continue across several years. While Season 5 is currently airing and has delivered one of the strongest starts of any new season since the beginning, the creative engine is already running full throttle. Season 6 is scheduled to premiere in 2027, setting the stage for the highly anticipated Season 7, slated for 2028.

Behind the animated action are a talented team of creators, including executive producers Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett, and Chris Moreno, along with co-executive producer and editor Becca Topol. The music that sets the tone for these adventures is crafted by Grammy Award-nominated musician Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, who will also be contributing to a special Halloween event.

Adding another layer of excitement, Disney+ is gearing up for a spectacular Halloween collaboration: Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! This special will feature new villains, Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve, voiced by Patrick Stump and Grammy Award-nominated musician Este Haim of HAIM. The duo will also pen two brand-new songs for the special, which will be released by Walt Disney Records on August 16, 2026.

Fans can look forward to this festive event, which is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, September 24, 2026. It will be accessible on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, with the full special streaming on Disney+ the following day, offering a perfect blend of superhero fun and seasonal magic.
