The highly anticipated eight-episode series, Brothers, kicks off with a trailer that promises a chaotic blend of familiar charm and surprising revelation.
The series centers on Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who trade their established personas for fictionalized versions of themselves as they navigate a friendship thrown into beautiful, messy chaos. Their journey quickly takes an unexpected turn when they discover a decades-old secret that might completely redefine their relationship: they could actually be brothers.
The trouble starts when Woody Harrelson heads to Austin, seeking respite after family turmoil, and settles into an extended stay at Matthew McConaughey’s ranch. What begins as a healing getaway quickly spirals into a high-stakes investigation as the men attempt to uncover the truth behind their shared history.
The situation becomes even more tangled when Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac (played by Holland Taylor), accidentally lets slip the bombshell secret, forcing the two friends to confront the reality of their bond. As Woody turns the ranch upside down in his quest for truth, Matthew finds himself juggling an entirely new identity crisis, one that could lead to an unexpected run for Governor of Texas.
The ensemble cast brings a fresh wave of talent to the story, featuring Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, and Oona Yaffe. McConaughey and Harrelson will also lend their gravitas as executive producers, alongside showrunner Lee Eisenberg, known for his sharp wit and comedic genius from The Office.
