Chase co-wrote the screenplay with Bryce McGuire, who developed the original concept, crafting what is dubbed a quintessential sleepover nightmare that promises a night of pure cinematic fright.
In other news, streaming giants are always seeking new content. Hulu recently concluded the run of the comedy series Not Suitable for Work, which premiered in June. The series followed five work-obsessed twenty-somethings navigating the pursuit of professional success and personal happiness in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood. Warner Bros. Television is now looking to shop the show around for a potential new home.
Meanwhile, Peacock is offering a deep dive into the often-complicated world of celebrity and fame with a new documentary. Titled Clap If You Care: The Wendy Williams Show, the three-part film will explore the rise and fall of the syndicated daytime talk show that ran from 2008 to 2022. The documentary promises to shed light on the cost of fame, answering long-lingering questions surrounding the show’s infamous exit, featuring accounts from more than twenty former staffers.
