Netflix has finally pulled back the curtain on their streaming success, revealing the lists of their ten most-watched TV series and films from the first half of 2026. This release marks a transition point for the streamer; following this report, Netflix will be moving away from biannual tracking to annual reports moving forward.

The data clearly shows that timing is everything in the streaming world. Because the lists track views across a six-month window, titles released earlier naturally captured more attention and amassed higher view counts.

On the television front, the returning favorites reigned supreme. The show His & Hers, starring Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson, cemented its spot as Netflix’s undisputed most-watched series of 2026, pulling in a massive 104 million views. It was complemented by other behemoths like Bridgerton Season 4, which garnered 100 million views, alongside beloved franchises such as Stranger Things Season 5 and One Piece Season 2. The suspense genre also saw strong performance with titles like The Night Agent Season 3 and two critically acclaimed Harlan Coben limited series.

Moving to the cinematic arena, the films showcased an equally high level of audience engagement. The top spot went to the action-packed War Machine, featuring Alan Ritchson, which tallied 149 million views. It was closely followed by Joe Carnahan’s The Rip, securing second place with 136 million views.

Beyond these heavy hitters, a diverse selection of content also performed exceptionally well across the board. Animated features like Swapped and KPop Demon Hunters demonstrated massive appeal, while thrillers such as Apex and The Rip further demonstrated the audience’s appetite for high-stakes storytelling. Other successful films included People We Meet on Vacation and Office Romance, showcasing Netflix’s ability to deliver a broad range of entertainment that captivates millions.

The results underscore Netflix’s consistent ability to produce content that commands global attention, proving that whether you are watching binge-worthy series or cinematic spectacles, the platform continues to be a powerhouse for popular storytelling.
