New Found Glory Guitarist Chad Gilbert Dead
The music world was deeply affected by the news of the passing of Chad Gilbert, the iconic founding member and lead guitarist of the rock band New Found Glory. Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, at the age of 45.
The announcement was made by his wife, Lisa Cimorelli, who shared the news that his time on earth had come to a close following a recent and difficult medical journey.
The period leading up to his passing involved a serious health battle. In March, Gilbert underwent emergency brain surgery during which three tumors were discovered. This discovery prompted further medical investigation into his condition, which included a diagnosis of metastatic pheochromocytoma, later upgraded to stage 4 adrenocortical carcinoma.
While the details of his final days were kept private, the information surrounding his health provided context for the peaceful manner in which he departed. The fight for his well-being concluded, allowing him to rest.
