Nicolas Cage Faces Cannibals in Harrowing Action-Thriller “Parish

In a stark, post-apocalyptic landscape, Nicolas Cage steps into the role of a hardened survivor grappling with impossible choices in the new action-thriller Parish. Set three decades after a devastating nuclear apocalypse, Cage embodies a man whose survival hinges on an iron-clad rule: never let anyone through the gate.

For thirty years, this singular principle has been the bedrock of his existence, a protective barrier maintained by his highly trained attack dogs. But the fragile peace of his sanctuary is shattered when a desperate woman carrying an infant appears on his doorstep, forcing Cage to confront the agonizing conflict between compassion and brutal survival.

This fateful decision does more than just challenge the hero’s moral compass; it throws him directly into the crosshairs of a vicious band of cannibals closing in from the desolate wasteland.

With his fortified compound under siege and his own hidden past finally catching up to him, Parish transforms into a brutal fight for everything Cage has left. It is an unfolding narrative where the line between protector and prey dissolves into a desperate, life-or-death struggle.

The film is helmed by writer-director Adam Sigal, who pens and directs the intense story. The production is overseen by producers Joel Shapiro and Steven Tyler Sahlein, with cinematographer David Tattersall lending his expertise to capture the grim reality of the setting.

Parish is scheduled to shoot this October in Minnesota, promising a raw and visceral experience for audiences. Concourse Media is already pre-selling the project ahead of its arrival at the TIFF market, signaling strong interest in this gritty cinematic venture.
