Nocturne crime drama trailer
The Shadowed Streets of Western Pennsylvania: Apple TV Unveils “Nocturne“
Prepare to dive into a world where quiet life is a fragile veneer and the shadows hold the deadliest secrets. Apple TV has just unveiled the trailer for Nocturne, a gripping crime drama series anchored by an extraordinary ensemble cast including Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham.
The series plunges viewers into the complex reality of Jonah Lynn, an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who seeks refuge from the rough streets of Philadelphia. He trades the grit of the city for the tranquility of a small town in Western Pennsylvania, hoping to build a quiet life for himself and his family.
But peace is short-lived. Their sanctuary is shattered when the community faces a terrifying threat from the diabolically cunning serial killer, Jurek Walter. Suddenly, Jonah must fight for everything he holds dear, transforming from a man seeking peace into a protector against encroaching darkness.
The stakes escalate dramatically when the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to take an extraordinary step. He must entrust his surrogate daughter, the sharp and tenacious FBI Agent Saga Bauer, to help confront the monster hunting them.
This narrative tension is built upon a rich foundation. Nocturne draws inspiration from the acclaimed Lars Kepler novels, Lazarus and The Sandman, lending the drama a deep, psychological edge rooted in literary suspense.
The creative vision behind the series is equally compelling. Rowan Joffe, known for his work on titles like Brighton Rock, serves as both writer and executive producer, while John Hlavin, a celebrated actor, helms the showrunner, writer, and executive producer roles.
The cast is further bolstered by strong supporting performances from Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan, and Gary Carr, adding layers of complexity to the town’s dynamic.
The series debuts on Apple TV on October 30th, promising a ten-episode journey where the lines between safety and danger blur completely. With director Tim Van Patten handling the first two episodes, Nocturne is set to redefine the landscape of crime drama with its intense character studies and breathless pursuit of truth.
