Pedro Pascal’s action in Behemoth! Full Trailer
The grand musical saga is here, and it promises to be a symphony of memory and destiny. Tony Gilroy, the mind behind Andor, and writer/director Michael Clayton are teaming up again for their latest cinematic endeavor, Behemoth!, starring the captivating Pedro Pascal.
At the heart of this story is Alex Serian, a figure steeped in artistic history. Pascal portrays Serian as a former child prodigy and third-generation studio musician who spent two decades traversing the globe, honing his craft as a gifted cellist for hire.
Now, after years of wandering, Serian finally returns to the familiar landscape of Los Angeles, not to seek new adventures, but to confront the music that defines his past. The film pivots on a unique premise: every time Alex performs an opening cue from a fictional movie score, the music triggers a haunting flashback, revealing the profound reasons he left and the final realization that brought him home after nearly twenty-five long years.
The emotional weight of Serian’s journey is amplified by an ensemble cast. Alongside Pascal, the film features a stellar collection of actors, including Hank Azaria as Serian’s father, Will Arnett as his brother, and Olivia Wilde as an ex-girlfriend. The supporting roles are filled by talents like Eva Victor, Matthew Lillard, Margarita Levieva, Jobeth Williams, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, and Alexa Swinton, creating a rich tapestry of personal relationships and history.
To ensure that the cinematic experience is layered and deeply immersive, Gilroy brought in a formidable team of composers. Nine distinct musical identities tackled the film’s score, including Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri, Michael Abels, Emily Bear, Lukas Frank, Henry Jackman, Nami Melumad, and Brandon Roberts.
This musical complexity ensures that the soundscape of Behemoth! is as multifaceted as the narrative itself. It is a film where the strings and scores don’t just accompany the action; they become the very language of memory.
Mark your calendars: Searchlight Pictures will release Behemoth! in cinemas on December 4th. Get ready for a journey where the melody of the past dictates the rhythm of the present.
