Peter Jackson Teases Tintin 2 Script
Fifteen years. That’s the span of time since The Adventures of Tintin first captivated audiences, reintroducing us to the globe-trotting reporter Tintin and his loyal companion, Snowy. The original animated epic was a brilliant blend of classic adventure and cutting-edge technology, marking a high-flying collaboration between cinematic titans like Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, and sharp writers such as Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish.
While the initial film set an incredibly high bar for grand spectacle, the appetite for a sequel has simmered for over a decade. For many fans, The Adventures of Tintin 2 has existed more as an elusive, glittering rumor—a white whale whispered in online forums—than a concrete cinematic plan. The silence following the first film only amplified the fantasy, leaving audiences yearning for another adventure across the world.
But the anticipation has recently transformed into tangible hope. After years of waiting, Peter Jackson has finally broken the silence, offering updates that sound less like speculation and more like an imminent voyage. He shared exciting news about his current projects, signaling that the creative gears are finally starting to turn in a new direction.
Jackson revealed that the groundwork for the next chapter is already laid. He confirmed that the script for Tintin 2 is officially in the writing stage. This monumental step officially unlocks the door to the sequel we have all dreamed about.
Adding further momentum to the news, Jackson also provided an update on his ongoing work, noting that filming for shadow-of-the-past-hunt-for-gollum is nearly complete. With just a couple of weeks of shooting remaining, the production is nearing its grand finale.
This development confirms that the long-awaited sequel is no longer just a pipe dream; it is actively on the docket. Jackson explicitly stated that making Tintin 2 will be his next cinematic pursuit. It feels like a cinematic miracle, a moment where decades of longing finally coalesce into a concrete path toward a new adventure.
