Pumpkinhead 2 trailer unleashes a curse on Tubi this Halloween
The Curse Returns: R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 Hits Tubi with a Dark New Chapter
The haunted legacy of R.L. Stine is back, promising another dose of chilling folklore for streaming fans. Tubi has just dropped the official trailer for R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2, an exciting sequel that pulls viewers back into the spooky depths of the supernatural. This new installment continues the tradition of the Pumpkinhead curse, bringing the horror world inspired by Stine’s original work into the quaint, yet deeply troubled, setting of Redhaven, where a fresh terror threatens to consume the community.
But this time, the narrative takes a delightfully unexpected turn with a stellar addition to the cast. Stepping into the shadows of Redhaven is Cassandra Peterson, better known to millions as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, who plays the enigmatic and powerful figure of Cassandra, a mysterious witch deeply connected to the ancient magic haunting the town.
The story follows Sam (Bean Reid) and Becka (Adeline Lo) as they grapple with a brand new Pumpkinhead curse that threatens to claim the entire town of Redhaven. The conflict centers around Evan, a student facing schoolyard troubles who stumbles upon a forbidden spellbook. His actions accidentally unleash an ancient curse, causing the pumpkin-headed children of past sacrifices to rise again. As the town’s Harvest Festival approaches, Sam and Becka must race against time to uncover the truth and stop the spreading doom.
Their search for answers leads them directly into the realm of dark magic, where they encounter Cassandra. Peterson’s presence adds a layer of potent horror nostalgia, blending the familiar dread of Stine’s world with the iconic allure of a beloved horror icon.
The sequel maintains the atmospheric foundation of the first film, drawing inspiration from Stine’s classic work, The Haunting Hour. Jem Garrard, the visionary who brought the first Pumpkinhead story to life, returns to write and direct this new chapter, ensuring the sequel maintains the rich, evocative tone that made the original such a haunting success.
The cast is a compelling mix of returning familiar faces and captivating newcomers. Bean Reid continues as Sam and Adeline Lo as Becka, while Cassandra Peterson steps in as the captivating Cassandra. Supporting roles are brought to life by Sebastian Billingsley-Rodriguez as Evan, Matty Finochio as Rusty, and Miles Phoenix Foley as Chad, adding depth and intrigue to the Redhaven storyline.
For those who enjoyed the original, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 offers a fresh, wickedly fun Halloween nightmare. Set to premiere on Tubi on October 9, 2026, the sequel promises to deliver thrilling scares and unforgettable character dynamics, making it a must-watch for anyone who loves dark fantasy and classic horror.
