Clarkson's Farm Review: Jeremy Clarkson Gets His Hands Dirty

8/10 — Clarkson's Farm (2021)
Pros
- Kaleb Cooper's charm
- Insight into farming
- Beautiful countryside
Cons
- Occasionally laddish humour
Jeremy Clarkson takes over the running of his 1,000-acre Oxfordshire farm, Diddly Squat, with the help of farmhand Kaleb Cooper and his team. The series follows the struggles of a modern British farm.
What works
Kaleb Cooper is a breakout star, with a dry, deadpan wit that steals every scene, and the show gives a real insight into the pressures facing farmers. Clarkson is funny and self-deprecating, and the cinematography of the countryside is gorgeous.
Where it falters
Clarkson’s background means some of the humour is laddish, and the series sometimes glosses over the privilege behind his farm.
Verdict
A warm, funny and informative watch.
