“My intention was to celebrate what we’ve built and never to diminish anyone else,” Ralph stated. “But intention doesn’t erase impact, and I understand how my words sounded dismissive. For that, I am truly sorry.”

Although Abbott Elementary did not take home an Emmy in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, the night saw other strong performances. Widow’s Bay emerged as the night’s most-awarded comedy winner, securing 14 Emmy awards.
Ralph’s connection to the show is undeniable. She previously earned an Emmy for her role as Barbara Howard, the veteran teacher at Abbott Elementary, in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.
