Silent Hill Remake Casting Details Revealed 2027
Konami is gearing up for a new era in survival horror, planning yearly installments for the iconic Silent Hill franchise. But while the main saga continues its yearly cycle, the focus is turning to a massive, long-awaited project: the remake.
Rumors suggest that the remake of the 1999 classic is currently under development, though the anticipated release window is set for 2027. The project is being developed under the internal codename Project G, and the casting phase is being handled by the cryptic codename Project Noise.
Adding some fresh color to the speculation are the first names attached to the cast, including Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew. While their specific roles remain under wraps, their previous credits hint at a background in demanding gaming and media. Gabrielle Fritz has experience with titles like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Luna Abyss, while Jade Matthew has worked on the Korean MMORPG Dragon Nest.
The biggest mystery, however, remains the identity of the protagonist, Harry Mason, who has yet to be named for the remake.
Meanwhile, the developers at Bloober Team are balancing their portfolio with other exciting horror ventures. They are actively engaged in developing Cronos: Lazarus, an upcoming DLC expansion for Cronos: The New Dawn, alongside their multiplayer horror game, Saw: Genesis. This suggests that while the world of Silent Hill awaits its cinematic revival, Bloober Team is busy crafting a diverse and intense slate of horror experiences for players.
