Sklenar’s Action Movie F.A.S.T. Release Date Delayed

The wait for big-screen action is about to get a little longer, but the payoff will be worth the extra time. Taylor Sheridan’s next major cinematic venture, F.A.S.T., has officially pushed its theatrical debut further into 2027, shifting its release from April to May.

This strategic adjustment by Warner Bros. ensures that this high-stakes action thriller lands in the early summer corridor for audiences, maximizing anticipation for this explosive feature. At the heart of the project is the compelling narrative penned by Sheridan, focusing on a former special forces commando tapped by the DEA for an extremely dangerous mission against CIA-protected drug dealers operating right in his own town.

Brandon Sklenar steps into the role of this commando at the center of the story, bringing intensity and grit to the unfolding drama. He is joined by a powerhouse ensemble cast that promises thrilling performances. Juliana Canfield stars opposite Sklenar, complemented by established talent like LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, Sam Claflin, and Trevante Rhodes, along with supporting roles from Wilson Bethel, John Hoogenakker, and Chloe Coleman.

Beyond the stellar cast, the production boasts a deep creative pedigree. Ben Richardson is directing this taut action thriller, building upon Sheridan’s signature storytelling style. While initial considerations involved other high-profile names, the project eventually navigated internal discussions regarding a feature film budget around $60 to $70 million, which prompted Warner Bros. to carefully manage the timeline for its eventual release.

The production moved into the active phase with Richardson taking on direction in 2025. Principal photography commenced in August 2025 in New Rochelle, New York, before relocating to Murcia, Spain, for additional filming in November 2025. The visual scope of the film is being brought to life by cinematographer Corrin Hodgson.

With production moving into the summer corridor leading up to its May 2027 release, Sklenar continues his trajectory as a leading man, and audiences can look forward to what promises to be a truly gripping cinematic experience.
