The world of espionage and exasperated incompetence continues to charm audiences, as Apple TV has once again confirmed its commitment to the lovable misfits of M.I.5. The critically acclaimed series Slow Horses has been renewed for an eighth season, promising more high-octane chaos and darker secrets for viewers to unravel.
While the sixth season is gearing up for release, anticipation is already building for the future. The upcoming season seven will delve into the world of Mick Herron’s Bad Actors, promising a fresh perspective on the dangerous games played by those inside the intelligence community.
But the real fireworks are set for season eight. This upcoming installment promises an explosive showdown between two of the series’ most iconic figures: Jackson Lamb, played by the legendary Gary Oldman, and Diana Taverner, portrayed by Kristin Scott Thomas. The narrative is set to escalate as a botched attempt to blackmail the Park puts Taverner on the offensive, forcing Lamb to confront one of M.I.5’s deepest, darkest secrets and put an end to them once and for all.
The creators remain enthusiastic about the continued success of the series. Jay Hunt, the Creative Director for Apple TV, expressed delight that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for another season, praising their unique, acerbic take on the high-octane world of espionage.
