Stream Evil Dead Burn exclusively on HBO Max this October

Get ready to welcome the darkest season yet, because the Deadite nightmare is returning with a bang. The cinematic fury of Evil Dead Burn is set to make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on October 2nd, promising fans a fresh, savage chapter in one of horror’s most beloved franchises.

This latest cinematic carnage arrives just in time for Halloween, offering multiple avenues for fans to revisit this Deadite-filled experience. Following its physical release on September 22nd in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats, the film provides plenty of ways to dive deep into the mayhem.

At its core, Evil Dead Burn delivers on the franchise’s promise of terror, plunging viewers into a story of intense familial horror. The film centers on a woman who seeks solace with her in-laws in a secluded family home, only to discover that the very bonds of the family are corrupted. As one by one, the inhabitants are transformed into Deadites, turning a gathering into a reunion from hell, forcing the protagonist to confront a terrifying truth: that life’s vows somehow endure even in death.

The film is anchored by a strong ensemble cast, featuring Souheila Yacoub as Alice, joined by a stellar group including Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand, Maude Davey, and George Pullar.

The vision behind the film was brought to life by director Sébastien Vaniček, who previously made his mark with the French creature feature Vermin. The production boasts a pedigree, with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert serving as producers, alongside executive producers Bruce Campbell, Romel Adam, Sarah Spurway, Jose Cañas, and Lee Cronin.

While this installment is a powerful standalone, fans don’t have to worry about the Deadite saga ending here. The franchise is clearly set to continue, with new installments like Evil Dead Wrath already in development, and an animated follow-up to the Ash vs. Evil Dead TV series also in the works.

Mark your calendars: Evil Dead Burn will hit HBO Max on October 2nd, followed by a linear premiere on October 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET. If you’ve been waiting for Sébastien Vaniček’s explosive take on the Deadite mythology, this is the date to mark on your calendar.
