This new run of the acclaimed series picks up immediately following the season’s dramatic conclusion, meaning viewers are thrown right into the aftermath of some truly catastrophic revelations. The previous season ended with a monumental betrayal that shattered the fragile peace between the United States and the United Kingdom.
At the heart of this upheaval was US ambassador to the UK, Kate Wyler, played by Keri Russell. Her carefully brokered diplomatic truce was instantly undone when she discovered that her husband, Vice President Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), and President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) had engaged in a staggering conspiracy: stealing a Russian nuclear weapon and actively misleading the UK government about its fate.
