2026 Halloween listings by Jennie Kermode
The spooky season is officially putting a damper on some plans. Due to recent stormy weather, many of the planned Halloween events have been cancelled, forcing fans to take a raincheck on some of the outdoor screenings. However, don’t despair! While the skies may be grey, the spirit of horror remains alive, and we’ve managed to track down a sensational lineup of sinister events still scheduled across the country. If you’re looking for a fright this season, you’ll find plenty of thrills waiting.
Despite the weather-related cancellations, the cinematic calendar is still packed with chilling entertainment. We’re looking at a highly active schedule, particularly in Northern Ireland, where the horror genre is in full swing.
In Aberdeen, audiences have a date to mark on the calendar. Fans can prepare for a fright night on the 30th, where the classic tale of Hocus Pocus is slated to be shown at the Craig Centre for Performing Arts starting at 6:30 PM.
Meanwhile, Belfast is gearing up for a weekend packed with spine-tingling entertainment. On the 25th, the city hosts a thrilling drive-in experience at Let’s Go Hydro featuring a triple dose of frights: Alice In Wonderland, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Friday The 13th.
The excitement continues on the 26th, with more cinematic scares planned. Attendees can join the drive-in experience at Let’s Go Hydro for a double feature of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Insidious.
Adding to the variety of unsettling events, the 26th also features a standalone screening of Lair Of The White Worm at QFT, alongside a feature focusing on the timeless suspense of The Woman In Black and Halloween storytelling at Cahoots.
Whether you’re diving into classic horror or embracing holiday macabre, there are plenty of ways to get your dose of cinematic dread this season. If your specific event isn’t listed here, don’t hesitate to reach out; we’d be delighted to help add it to the list of terrifying events you need to see.
