Anatomica Films sells Black Mandala Horror Trio globally
A new wave of horror cinema is set to hit global screens, following a significant rights acquisition by New Zealand’s Black Mandala. The company has secured worldwide sales rights to three intense horror films from the Anatomica Films catalogue: Within Madness, Vessel, and The Thirteenth Gate.
These films, known for their compelling and dark narratives, originate from the Anatomica Films label. The success of this deal highlights the growing international appetite for genre-specific storytelling, demonstrating how independent horror productions can find a massive global audience.
At the heart of this cinematic offering is the vision of J. M. Stelly, who served as both the writer and director for all three titles. Stelly’s creative vision was further amplified by his production work alongside Johnny Stassi, who operated under the Anatomica Films banner.
The successful negotiation of this major deal was spearheaded by Stelly and Black Mandala co-founder Michael Kraetzer. Their collaboration ensured that the intellectual property of the films reached the widest possible global markets, cementing the international presence of these unique horror works.
