The inspiration for the narrative draws echoes from classic comic lore, particularly the unsettling themes found in the 1990s episode Batman: The Animated Series’s ‘Feat of Clay’.

At the heart of the story is a deeply disturbing premise. It follows an actor named Matt Hagen, who suffers a brutal disfigurement in a car crash. In a desperate bid for change, he is offered experimental face cream, which initiates a horrific transformation. Instead of simple alteration, Hagen mutates into a walking creature of clay, gaining the terrifying ability to shapeshift at will as he plots his path for revenge.
