Behind the scenes, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, co-writers and co-directors of the original hit film Game Night, weren’t content to let the adventure rest. When pressed about their involvement in a potential follow-up, Goldstein revealed a delightful twist: they didn’t just observe; they participated.

“We actually wrote a sequel to Dungeons & Dragons,” Goldstein shared. “We were hired to write it. We love that cast, and we think we wrote something that fans would like.”

This creative input means that the script for the next installment is deeply rooted in the sensibilities of the creators. The core team—Goldstein and Daley—didn’t just oversee the project; they helped shape the narrative direction, ensuring the sequel retained the spirit and charm that audiences adored.
