Epic Avengers Doomsday Art Shown in China

Marvel Studios is cranking up the excitement for the next era of the MCU, dropping fresh concept art from Avengers: Doomsday at the Shanghai Expo in China.

The visuals released offer a tantalizing glimpse into an incredibly vast universe, featuring a spectacular collection of heroes and villains. Stars like Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr. appeared in a video presentation showcasing the artwork, which isn’t just about Doctor Doom—it’s a celebration of the entire ensemble.

The concept art throws an epic mix of established and emerging characters into sharp focus. We see the assembled New Avengers, including Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, Bucky, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and Bob. Layered over them are iconic groups like the X-Men—featuring Cyclops, Gambit, Mystique, Beast, Magneto, and Professor X—along with the members of the Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch). The roster is further expanded to include Shang-Chi, Shuri/Black Panther, King M’Baku, and even Loki.

Adding depth to the hype, Marvel’s Kevin Feige was present at a Q&A session on site, offering some exciting insider details about the future direction of the franchise. Feige noted that Florence Pugh’s Yelena would have a significant role in the upcoming narrative. Furthermore, he teased that mutants will be appearing in the MCU very soon.

“Marvel is 90 years old, there are so many great female characters,” Feige remarked, highlighting the rich history of female presence in the franchise. He emphasized the potential for new additions:

“Some of my favorite female characters are in a group called the X-Men, and the X-Men are coming up very, very soon.”

The buzz around these developments is only growing. Following four teasers released back in December, fans can expect even more cinematic reveals. The first proper trailer is anticipated to screen at San Diego Comic Con in two weeks, ahead of potential tie-ins with Spider-Man: Brand New Day in cinemas the following week.
