The curtain has closed on one of the most iconic superhero roles, and in the process, Gal Gadot has offered a remarkably candid look at the often-turbulent waters of Hollywood development. The actress, known for bringing Wonder Woman to life, recently spoke openly about the experience of stepping away from the role, reflecting on how the transition unfolded.

In a recent interview, Gadot discussed the process of letting go, sharing insights into the emotional and logistical complexities of the situation. When asked about the planned continuation of the franchise, she touched upon the development of the rumored Wonder Woman 3 and the surrounding circumstances.

Her reflection highlighted a sense of complexity regarding how these large-scale projects are managed. She noted that the way certain developments were handled felt less than elegant, drawing a parallel to the experiences of other actors involved in similar franchise sagas.

“They were like, ‘We’re going to develop it with you.’ The third Wonder Woman. But I saw the way everybody else was handled, right? The Henry Cavill situation was not handled elegantly, to say the least. Same with Patty Jenkins. It was not handled elegantly,” she observed, acknowledging the messy reality of filmmaking and franchise management.

Despite the difficulties, Gadot expressed a feeling of peace, emphasizing that the focus should remain on the current creative landscape. She stated that the current actors are there to pursue what they believe in, and that this is ultimately fine.

She expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity she had to embody the character and be the vessel for that celebrated role during that time. Now, as she looks toward the future, she extends her best wishes to whoever takes the mantle next, hoping they will “enjoy the ride” and treat the character with the respect it deserves.

While stepping away from the spotlight, Gadot is already embarking on new adventures. She will soon be seen in the action thriller The Runner, continuing her career across various exciting projects.
