Beyond the gritty reality of Suleyman’s immediate struggle, the creative genesis of this intense atmosphere offers another layer of fascination. When speaking about the film, Saïd Boumazoughe revealed that the concept originated long before the action began. He developed the core idea for Attack On Paradise alongside director Bob Colaers.
Boumazoughe explained that the seeds of this narrative were sown during the isolating period of the Coronavirus pandemic. He reflected that when opportunities are scarce, one must create their own pathways, and his experience provided a unique backdrop for developing the story. It was a powerful exercise in turning limited circumstances into dramatic opportunity.
