Milla Jovovich joins heated rivalry S2

The intensity is back. Crave and HBO Max’s much-anticipated “Heated Rivalry” is gearing up for its second season, bringing a fresh wave of drama, explosive relationships, and some truly unexpected talent to the cast.

One of the biggest additions to the roster is the unmistakable Milla Jovovich, who steps into the role of Dr. Galina Molchalin. Jovovich, a Russian-speaking psychologist based in Ottawa, enters the narrative as a complex figure who will guide the central relationship.

She is set to work with Ilya Rosinov (Connor Storrie) to navigate the emotional minefield of his life. Their dynamic will explore deep-seated trauma, examining Ilya’s difficult history surrounding the death of his mother, complex family relationships, and simmering discontent in his romantic life with Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams).

Beyond the intimate psychological journey, the series weaves in the high-stakes world of professional sports. The cast is further bolstered by compelling new characters, including Kevin Zegers as Coach Brandon Weibe, the rookie head coach for the Ottawa Centaurs team, and Paul Gross, who plays hockey league commissioner Roger Crowell—a character known for his friction with Weibe.

Filming continues in Canada later this year, focusing intensely on the development of Ilya and Shane’s relationship.
